The lone wolf is our sentinel as the Seven of Swords creeps through the night eluding perceptions of thievery and hidden dishonor. The trickster has made a stunning performance this year within a background of mirrors and funhouse distortion. It’s been a crapshoot working out what’s real and what’s fiction. Even the best of us have had moments where it seemed the only recourse was to flee. Holding secrets close to the hip, this lonely friend skulked from melodies offering nothing but love. This love appeared as a demon, come to threaten the will of the known. In truth it only challenged us to leap with faith into a bath of golden water.
Tomorrow we enter a new season of growth. Having found no refuge in the night, we begin the pilgrimage back home to gaze into the eyes of love once again, and find our true north. Queries from the past are asking us to see our stories in a new light. Focus has been hard to come by as images and holograms thrust past our lies in the periphery. The only recourse has been to fall into the stories, and see where they lead us.
This moon cycle is our shot to set it all straight, find solid footing. We are offered a chance to shed light on the ways we have fallen from grace, and turned our eyes from love. Now is the moment to move toward the sun, and see what truly lives along those paths of fear. The twist is to figure out how to do this with compassion, recognizing our own personal humanity. Criticism and judgment are what forced us into this solitude in the first place. As we walk back down the most recent paths taken, look into the eyes of love, and say, “yes please” to forgiveness, to connection, to humility. The monster we believed we were running from is simply a friend anticipating us knowing our true worth.
May our haunts bring us joy, and create channels of beckoned knowing.
