Message for the Masses – Week of June 13, 2016

03e0c9e7c81d1bacaf709f7dfc7b7bdf

We rise from the ashes with the flames of the Phoenix, guiding us toward a new chance. A treasure trail of deaths remain behind, disintegrating as we aim for the dawn. Those deaths have led us here, and we stand new, raw, open. Smoke bellows from our wings as we enter the kingdom of stardom, and we have no other option but to soar to new dimensions.

It is our charge this week to be sure to allow space for the new to enter. Often when we stand at the threshold of a new dawn we are tempted to run back to the known, and find false comfort in rotting flesh. We must know that this impulse is fueled by fear, and anything fueled by fear is simply an illusion. The devil is a tricky fellow that presents images of what we think we want. He feeds us soup laced with regret, making us believe that we have failed, and are not worthy of this new expanded view.

This week is the moment to refuse the trickster, and use our fire fueled wings to ascend to our destiny. Faith is the antidote to the poison of illusion. Risk is the only way into the kingdom. I say to you on this fine new day that every single ounce of you deserves this acclaim, this fortune, these new wings. Use them to champion your purpose, and know that you are held in the heavens.

May we leap through love filled bounds, and allow ourselves to know joy intimately.

Message for the Masses – Week of May 30, 2016

The Queen of Swords graces us with her presence, drawing a clear line in the soil before us. The space that is created by this line is potent with possibility, shoring up loose ends and gaping vulnerabilities. Girded with this royal support we walk with straightened spines like antennas primed to receive. We stake our boundaries with illuminated proclamation, declaring the higher octave as home.

We stand in the center of a cross this week, and its points wiggle like the end of a weathervane riding the wind. First north, then south, then west, then east, we are afforded the chance to see from all angles. The trick is to walk each direction with care, allow each perspective the chance of truth, and weigh the potential benefits evenly. This is a week to gather ideas, honor each thought as a prayer, and choose with precision the lens those thoughts blaze through.

The Sun and Venus lead us along in a game of drawing lines, weaving webs, and defining entry and exit points. Each of these actions create opportunities. What may feel impassable is much more likely an opportunity to see ourselves from a higher view. It is our duty to raise ourselves to the moment, and uncover the love that has been bestowed upon us within motions of dense definition.

Consider the shelter a closed door provides in a windstorm. Our charge is to allow any such closings, either doled or received, to be our shelter, and walk toward the new realm knowing we are loved.

As the week closes, circuits display in darkness. The New Moon promises us both sides of the coin. Neither side is more or less true, and we are blessed with the fortune of choice.

May we walk each direction with the light of possibility, and revel in the abundance of chance.

Message for the Masses – Week of May 2, 2016

This week we are encouraged by the Hanged Man to let it all go. As we turn upside down the worries and fears fall like change from our pockets.

When I was a kid I loved doing gymnastics. If there was room to flip, I flipped. If I had the choice to walk or cartwheel, I cartwheeled. My favorite move was a back walkover. I enjoyed seeing the world upside down, and then taking the opposite route to standing. I can see now what a gift it was to dare to see the world upside and down so regularly.

As we walk into this new week, at the beginning of this new month, leading into this new season, guided by this new moon; Seems time to remember how good it can feel to see things from a different perspective.

After all of the shake ups over the last few months we are in a period of grace. We are granted the space to take stock in a new way, a fun way, a pleasurable way. It’s time to settle in home, and sink deep into what pleases the senses. Venus is our best friend right now. She beckons us to come out of our hard outer shells and softly writhe in sensual delight.

The Hanged Man is our first step into that realm.

May we hang our head in pure pleasure, and allow our feet to be held in grace.

The divine law prevails as we slide along the sword of Justice. Faith is reminding us that we can steer, but we cannot rule the flow.

Recently I was staying in a hotel, and woke to news that there had been a fire in the building across the street in the middle of the night. I was talking with one of the bellman about it, and he shared his fear of how scary it is to live in a building of apartments because it just takes one person who you don’t know to do something that can destroy your home. He waxed that at least when you are in a single home you have more control. To which I replied, “Well, I suppose we never really have control. All we can do is have faith.” He smiled, took it in, agreed and I saw his fear visibly dissipate.

This is it, every single ounce of feeling in control is an illusion. It doesn’t mean we won’t feel it, or crave it, or at times count on it, but true faith asks us to know that, even when we rely on a sense of control in a certain moment, it is an illusion. We are allowed the illusion as long as we keep the truth in perspective.

It’s like the fun one can derive from a magic show. We know it’s illusion, but it feels good, and can be a wonderful source of comfort because it helps us believe in something that doesn’t seem possible. Life offers the same opportunity, yet to get there we must have faith beyond what we believe to be real.

Justice presents us with the ability to ease into the flow and find the sweet spot that reveals the truth. Once the truth is revealed, then we respond. Any other approach leaves us flailing like an erratic balloon contorting through the air as it releases its gas. Instead, perhaps we can meet Venus for a lovely gondola ride, and allow the beauty of the ride to be our driving force.

May our sense of balance be precise, and our surrender to it be swift.

Our hearts pound with the song of fortitude. The Strength card bears witness to our inner reserves, calling forth and beating the drum of self-knowing. Our truth is upon us this week. Bringing sight to otherwise blind corners, and fortitude allows us the ability to face the illusions we’ve created.

We are called to look inside and open our hearts to the possibly of no drama. Drama creates havoc as we allow our past imprints to dictate what lies ahead. Forge through and allow the unknown to be gold. Forget the worry that seems to drive the heart’s bleeding flood. Genuine consciousness is not attained through reason. We are grasping tight to the idea that it is will that bears the fruits of our labor, yet the mother Maya shows slides of the fool.

Walk the concrete through the fields with your lion. What is its name? Generate a familiar grace that aligns with the heart of each matter that arises. It is time to use our strength to break through the structures that restrain us from the divine.

We are afforded an inward movement this week that allows for review. Review of our passions, our ambitions, our demons, our loves, our lies; in hopes that the flowers of promise make their way through. Release the expectations that keep muscles bound in memory.

We are champions barreling toward the sun.

May we utilize our inner roar with ferocious grace.

The Heirophant stands before us with Socratic inquiry. Who are you now that the protective covers of your wounds have been peeled away?

Rawness and vulnerability have ruled our view through this elliptical period of morphing rebirth. We begin to see how those wounds have historically informed our beliefs and ideas, particularly around how we relate to others; Perhaps allowing for the courage to surrender and make amends. The Heirophant assures us of the design of this metamorphosis, and leads us into a time of burgeoning clarity.

This week offers us that moment just before we charge. We are infused with a jolt of awareness. A rush of surety allowing us to leap forward in ways we may not have dreamed possible even mere months ago.

Wednesday’s Lunar Eclipse in Libra ushers us through the last portal of awakening in this eclipse season. Light bulbs flash in spectacular visions that demand to be taken seriously. We have the spirit of the warrior in our bellies now as we hear the call to action.

Did you catch the scent of the changing winds? They are at your back now, compelling you forward.

If there is desire for someone to be at your side as you charge ahead, tell them…now. If you are realizing ways that your wounds informed your story, rewrite it…now. If there is a road block that you created because of those wounds, destroy it…now. We are called to move forward with clean intentions, fit for the divine beings that we are.

May we capture flashes of clarity and transform them into action with a new found flare.

Message for the Masses – Week of March 7, 2016

Our week begins on the eve of the Solar Eclipse in Pisces, no wonder the spirits greet us with the exploding Tower. Bubbles are bursting left and right in our general reality, and we are no longer allowed the luxury of illusion.

These times of sudden change understandably incite fear in our hearts, and beckon us to believe the fear as truth. What an injustice this does to our spirits, as fear leads us nowhere but deeper into delusion. We are called to push through the fear and sit, wide eyed, inside this uncomfortable gift, and allow the new sight.

These jolts are offered as promotions to the next level. We are graduating tomorrow. Deception no longer has a hall pass. The uncomfortable truth is mutating into a blessing that allows us to see our true path. The more sever the blast, the deeper the blessing. This compression breeds diamonds, and in the coming months we will wear them with honor if we stand strong, and don’t allow ourselves to be buried in the rubble.

The key to weathering this week is attitude alignment. If we welcome ourselves as victims, or rage against the crashing current, sure destruction awaits. If we surrender in solid strength, and allow the current to deliver us to the shores of perception, treasure awaits our weary souls.

Mutation can be painful, and this week could add salt to that gore. Our hearts are cracking wide to receive the light of the Sun, and that is rarely comfortable. New versions are birthing, and reason doesn’t pay the bills in this new order. As we struggle to grasp what is actually happening, rest assured that no matter what the circumstance it undoubtedly supports a process of evolution.

The best approach is to mimic the creation. Spill your guts out on the page, the canvas, the dance floor, through the eye of your lens. Release the expression and the light will come. Our journey through the night will eventually wane, and the dawn will bring us sober completion.

May we ride the river of darkness with grace, and allow our hearts to crack as wide as the ocean.

This week we mount The Chariot. It is coming time to assert the new perspective gained through all that we have learned and released of late. Our destination is the Sun, who finds himself eclipsed by the Moon on March 8th. It is safe to say that whatever comes to pass this week will likely be the vehicle to change that occurs for us during the eclipse, and furthermore, will set a theme for the year. It is time to honor all that we’ve constructed thus far, and take it for a test run.

The initial focus of this energy will undoubtably center on relationships, specifically on how they size up for us emotionally and spiritually.

How we love, who we love, and what type of love do we need? These will be the questions at hand.

We are in the midst of an evolutionary tone. Venus, then Mars are in action, and swing on a pendulum between matured reality and fantastical desire. We begin with a new sense of truth in play, and the fruits of this truth could bring surprises. The gold lies inside how we maneuver these measured surprises, and the risks we are willing to take to attain our hearts desire.

Imagine yourself steering your newly constructed vehicle toward the light, then without warning all goes dark. What do you do to ensure your victory?

Do you grasp for the one you love and hold on tight in faithful devotion?

Do you push the one next to you out of the vehicle as dead weight?

Do you instinctually hold hands, each holding a reign in the other hand, trusting that your union will shine the light needed to make it through?

This week will begin to show you the answer to that question.

May we celebrate the constant of change, and ready ourselves to ride through the night in trust.

We climb into the week with the load of the 10 of Wands on our back. The last couple of months have revealed a lot. We have had no choice but to see all of the excess baggage we carry through our days. A new awareness of the weight we bear dons the opportunity to unload what is no longer essential to our well being. This week we are called not just to let go, but to really feel the quality of this load.

Where did it come from? What does it look like, smell like? Where do we carry it on our body? What sparks the impulse to pursue life as though it’s a true part of our vehicle?

The beauty of this moment is that the cosmic energy gives us some space to do this unpacking. As we lead up to Monday’s Full Moon in Virgo, it allows the solid ground to make a mess in order to clean it up. Each piece asks to be examined. It is a week of observation and sorting.

Do I still need that hurt, where is it getting me to hold on to it?

Is repeatedly reliving the memory of that old love really feeding my soul, or have I turned it into an impossible screenplay?

We must make ourselves lighter.

The times ahead demand the ability to move with nimble grace.

As we move through the load we may see things that we don’t like. Fight the urge to shove it back into the hiding pockets in your field. Those hidden knots do nothing but fester, slowing us down and making us believe we are ugly.

Instead find the courage to look at it directly. See it exactly for what it is. Accept it. Set it in front of you on the table and draw it. Facing the burden head on leads to disintegration. As the barnacles disintegrate we can breathe a little deeper each time, allowing greater endurance for the journey before us.

May we all welcome the grace of the virgin to begin anew and unfettered.

For Maya…

On the morning you passed, I dreamed your pride. A room full of us singing. No instruments            just our voices our words our smiles our nerves. Faces of myriad hues             waiting to connect. Hearts cording, creating a web of hopes and fears. It is mercury, you see             binding our hearts in inevitable communion. We push       …
