Message for the Masses – Week of February 22, 2016

The Two of Swords covers our eyes and asks us to stand down this week. February in general brings a bit of space to breathe, and this card is showing us that our week of examination has come to a close. By now it is likely that you have picked the load to the bone, and unleashed skeletons that have been hiding for years. We are now called to take a step back and allow the manifestation to begin.

Today’s Virgo Full Moon marks the culmination of a cycle that has encouraged our due diligence. With that completion we must release, and wait for further instruction. This can leave us with a tension of sorts. The tension lies between what is true and untrue. The skeletons we’ve unearthed can be separated into those two categories, but the method to the separation is out of our hands. The unfolding is underway, and any idea that we are in control of that unfolding is an illusion. Reality will soon be revealed, and your reaction may surprise you.

Instead we open ourselves as a vessel, primed to receive the guidance that allows our best step forward. The unpacking we’ve done leaves more room for radical movement. It is that radical movement that allows us to feel our freedom.

If you find yourself unable to withhold from action, use that energy to write, tell a story, or daydream your best scenario. The course of this week moves from form to vision. Allow yourself the luxury of some dream time.

May we find our next steps through feeling, and give our eyes a well deserved rest.

Message for the Masses — Week of February 15, 2016

We climb into the week with the load of the 10 of Wands on our back. The last couple of months have revealed a lot. We have had no choice but to see all of the excess baggage we carry through our days. A new awareness of the weight we bear dons the opportunity to unload what is no longer essential to our well being. This week we are called not just to let go, but to really feel the quality of this load.

Where did it come from? What does it look like, smell like? Where do we carry it on our body? What sparks the impulse to pursue life as though it’s a true part of our vehicle?

The beauty of this moment is that the cosmic energy gives us some space to do this unpacking. As we lead up to Monday’s Full Moon in Virgo, it allows the solid ground to make a mess in order to clean it up. Each piece asks to be examined. It is a week of observation and sorting.

Do I still need that hurt, where is it getting me to hold on to it?

Is repeatedly reliving the memory of that old love really feeding my soul, or have I turned it into an impossible screenplay?

We must make ourselves lighter.

The times ahead demand the ability to move with nimble grace.

As we move through the load we may see things that we don’t like. Fight the urge to shove it back into the hiding pockets in your field. Those hidden knots do nothing but fester, slowing us down and making us believe we are ugly.

Instead find the courage to look at it directly. See it exactly for what it is. Accept it. Set it in front of you on the table and draw it. Facing the burden head on leads to disintegration. As the barnacles disintegrate we can breathe a little deeper each time, allowing greater endurance for the journey before us.

May we all welcome the grace of the virgin to begin anew and unfettered.

❤️
